The project coordinator Primorje-Gorski kotar county disability sport association includes 11 sports clubs for persons with disabilities, 5 sports clubs for the hearing impaired gathered in the Rijeka Sports Association of the Deaf. The main activities of the Association of Sports for Persons with Disabilities of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County include: organization of sports activities for persons with disabilities in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, as well as competitions at all levels for all sports under the auspices of the Croatian Paralympic Committee and the Croatian Sports Association for the Deaf. Development of programs for international and regional cooperation, the inclusion of as many sports clubs for people with disabilities in the process as much as possible, strengthening of Paralympic principles through cooperation with similar organizations in the country and abroad. KINITIKO ERGASTIRI is a local non profit sport association oriented to the field of adapted physical activity and recreation for the disabled. It was founded at Ilioupoli, a suburb of Athens-Greece in 2012 by a group of sports scientists related to the field of disability after considering the needs of a significant number of families in the region. Since 2012 “KINITIKO ERGASTIRI” designs implements and monitors sport, recreation activities and social inclusion actions for the disabled and their families. All activities are carefully designed with the perspective to improve in a holistic way physically, mentally and emotionally children and young adults with special needs. More
